Is there life after death My late martyrdom Name and claim your disease A poor wise woman Go for the King Listening to the sea roar The shadow of God The cage Strangers Waiting A piece of who I am On a ride with God Traveling in the direction of smallness Sam died today The crack in the foundation Snake charmer Can we come home Love in a body Madness Their pain will be their teacher Cleaning the attic The face of God With Christ in the vessel you can smile at the storm.
The book describes the private journey of a patient living with an illness that seems to have no end. The author describes in prose and poetry the frightening realization that she has been sick for two months with no idea what is wrong. Seven months later she is still too sick to work and resigns from her career. Used to controlling her life with logic and will power, she now finds that she must fight for effective treatment while finding peace with herself as she endures an illness that has continued in years. She writes about loss, friendships, purpose and hope.
