"Cultural History" is a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on the study and analysis of cultural history. Founded in 2012 and published biannually, it is the official journal of the International Society for Cultural History. The journal is dedicated to promoting the work and aims of the Society, which was established in 2008. It generates discussions and debates on the nature of cultural history, current trends in the field, and advances theoretical and methodological issues related to cultural history.
"Cultural History" encourages new and innovative questions about the past and invites contributions from both advanced and junior scholars. The journal is unique in its broad scope, as it is the only journal in the world that primarily concerns itself with cultural history in general. It welcomes high-quality submissions from any discipline that applies contemporary cultural theories and methodologies to the study of the past, regardless of historical or geographical focus. Articles that reflect on the ways in which more practical environments, such as museums and the heritage industry, engage with current debates in cultural history are also invited.
Published by Edinburgh University Press and originating from the United Kingdom, "Cultural History" covers a wide range of topics related to civilization and history, and it appears in periodical format.
