_aThe purpose of this book is to provide a limited verse by verse lexicon of the poetical books of the Hebrew Old Testament. The justification of this work lies in the need for a ready lexical reference for the average student of the Hebrew Old Testament. The massive Hebrew vocabulary serves as a deterrent to the reading of the Hebrew text for many students. This work meets that need, at least in the area of the difficult poetical books.
