This program follows Tchaikovsky's unsteady fortunes and musical progress until his death in 1893. Features the 1812 overture, Piano concerto No. 1, Symphony numbers 6 in B minor opus 74 ("Pathetique"), Slavonic marches and the Swan Lake and Nutcracker ballets, and archival footage of Evgeny Kissin and members of the Bolshoi Ballet in performance.
