Abstract: The aim of this study is to show the missionary various ways of how to reinforce indigenous responsibility in biblical church planting as well as to show how dependency can be avoided. A church planting model is used to present six areas in which indigenous responsibility should be practiced: faith and theology, leadership, financing, formation of the community, spreading the word of God and church growth.
