In order to accomplish this task the author investigated the culture of second career missionaries of Send International. Three distinct issues surfaced in the recruiting, training, and placing of second career missionaries of SEND. First, there is a difference in expectations between those who come from upper management and those who come from middle management. Secondly, there is a difference in frustration levels between those who assumed business roles within the business of missions and those who took on traditional missionary roles such as church planting. Thirdly, there is a difference in job satisfaction between those who are placed on an older field and those who are placed on a newer field ER -
