King, Roy M., 1954-,

The relationship between training in personal evangelism and its practice by the laity / [print] King, Roy Mark. - 1992. - viii, 117 leaves 28 cm.

Typescript.

The author provides a historical background to some of the current issues in personal evangelism and an overview of how the principles developed by adult educators may assist in developing training which is more effective. The results indicated that personal evangelism training did influence practice. Length of time since conversion indicated an inverse relationship to the frequency of practice. The local church presently attended is the source of training shown to influence practice. Training methods compatible to a specific personal witness skill also indicate a positive relationship with frequency of practice.
