The Beijing Christian Students' Union and the Chinese Christian Missionary Society are two different Christian groups. The former is set up in Beijing as a student fellowship and friendship organization; the latter is located in Shandong and Shanghai and is a ministry organization that promotes evangelism. However, they both were established in 1947. They were all formed spontaneously by a group of believers and were not affiliated with any missionary orgnizations or sectarian denominational. They both experienced the turmoil by the transferred of power. Both ended in 1955 under the political persecution and those Christians were charged with Anti-revolutioners because they refused to participate in the Three-self Movement. Studying these two Christian groups can help us to understand concretely how the Chinese government used the church reformers as a excuses to completely suppress and transform Christianity in the early days of liberation, how brutally persecuted those who refused to submit, and to banned organizations, imprisoned members, and completely destroyed them. Apart from individuals, families, and careers, they are also charged with crimes, by law or by moral way accusation, totally trampling on those Christians' faith and families.
