Scripture (what it is and what it isn't) -- Glory (the grand goal of it all) -- Inclusio (the royal bookends of beauty) -- Covenant (the relational remedy) -- Covenant(s) (the story unfolds) -- Jesus (good news about covenant and kingdom) -- Intermission (review and preview) -- Rescued (this all means something about salvation) -- Empowered (this all means something about the Spirit) -- Gathered (this all means something about the church) -- Hopeful (this all means something about the end)
Whether it is movies, folklore, tall tales, or simply the evening news, the human spirit always finds itself captivated by the idea of story. The reason for this is that we ourselves are living in a story. It's not a myth, a fable, or a legend. We live in a true story, God's story. The Bible recounts this master narrative in a way that compels our engagement. But what is the actual story that Scripture tells? How should we understand it? How do we live well in God's story? These are the kinds of discussions that await us as we study the unfolding drama of God and His world, or a King and His Kingdom.
