Personal testimony as to what Christ has done for an individual Christian has always been a means of great blessing in the Church of Christ. When revival fires begin to burn, there is sure to be a revival of personal testimony, like the old "love feasts" in the Wesleyan revival. On the other hand, a cold and formal church is characterized by the absence of such testimony. The minister, as the appointed leader of the people, does all the public witnessing.
